Approximately how tall and/or what caliper size is a 30 gallon maple tree from a nursery?

I got a 5 gallon maple (acer palmatatum) that was about 2-3′ when I bought it. When it was about 7-8′ tall it would have probably fit into a 30 gal container. OF course, what we need to think about it the size of the root ball, which is determined by the width of the tree more so than the height of it. A 30 gal tree would be a good size tree to start with if you are wanting a tree that is already established. Also, the tree that I bought as a 5 gal is now about 15′ tall and I have had it now for about 8 yrs. The girth on the tree is about the same as the height.
