Did I ask a insulting question or was it reasonable with the information given?
I am hiring a exterminator for our home. I met with the owner of the company yesterday. In our conversation I mentioned that I worked with a group that’s aim is to stop violence in our city. He then told me that he was a speaker and that he would be glad to come to our organization and speak. My question to him was (What do you speak about, pest control?) Was this question insulting? My daughter and cousin says it was. Oh! by the way the guy ended up being a former NBA star.
I think your question is perfectly relevant, just because the man played in the NBA doesn’t mean that he is instantly recognizable to everyone in the US.
