How do I move a small bamboo plant to a larger container so it will grow faster?
I have a small bamboo plant that is in a pot filled with small rocks that seem to be glued together. I want to remove it from this pot and put it in a larger container as I want a LARGE bamboo plant. Can this be done and, if so, do I put it only in water? or in soil? How do I do this?
If it is true bamboo it can grow 12″ to 36″ in a day. So maybe what you have is not true bamboo but rather lucky bamboo which is actually

What you need to do is make sure you are following the exact instruction for the care.
1. Lots of light BUT no direct sun
2. Use Distilled water or put water in jug 24 hrs before changing
3. Change the water weekly
4. Make sure to clean the pot each water change to prevent lime and chemical build-up
5. Keep the water 1″ from the base of the canes.
6. Give it a mild solution African Violet fertilizer on occasion
